Why a West Sacramento branch

Our home base is Lincoln. That works well for Lincoln, Roseville and Rocklin. It works less well for a homeowner in Davis whose door came down crooked at six in the evening, because the first part of that job is a drive across the whole valley.

So we opened a branch on the other side of the river. It is at 2777 Paradise Way in West Sacramento, and it covers West Sacramento, Sacramento, Davis and Woodland. Being based there means the drive to those calls starts closer to them.

Where it is and when it is open

Those hours are deliberate. Garage doors tend to fail at the two moments you use them most: leaving in the morning and coming home in the evening. An evening breakdown is exactly the call we want to be able to take.

What the West Sacramento team does

The same work we do from Lincoln. The sign says it in three words, service, repair and install, and in practice that covers:

Sometimes the honest answer is that a door needs a small adjustment rather than new parts, and we say so, even though it is less money for us. That habit came with us across the river.

Why fall is hard on Sacramento doors

Sacramento summers are long and hot, and a garage door that faces the afternoon sun takes the worst of it. Heat dries out the grease on rollers and hinges, hardens the rubber seal along the bottom, and makes a door louder and stiffer by the end of the season.

Then the first real rain arrives and finds every gap that summer opened up. A lot of the calls we expect from West Sacramento, Davis and Woodland this time of year are about exactly that: a door that got noisy over the summer, or water creeping in under the seal.

  • A door that is just louder than it used to be can usually wait for a tune-up, but not forever.
