Work with us

Technician and office roles, taken year-round and read by a person.

We take applications year-round and keep them on file. This page is not a posting for one advertised vacancy — it is how you reach the office directly, whether we are actively hiring for your role this week or not.

What the work is

Most of a technician’s day is springs, cables and openers. A torsion spring is wound to counterbalance the weight of one specific door, it has a cycle life, and it reaches the end of it — so a large share of calls booked as a dead opener are a snapped spring asking the motor to lift a door it was never sized to lift. The rest is drums and rollers, off-track doors, panels, safety sensors and opener logic boards. Different manufacturers fail in different places, which is why the trucks carry parts rather than a catalog.

Dispatch is answered around the clock, so field roles include on-call rotation, and the office roles — dispatch, billing and customer support — are the other half of a same-day promise. We cover cities across California from Lincoln; the service area directory is the honest map of where the trucks go.

Applying

Name, email, phone, the role and your experience level are what we need. A résumé is welcome and optional — a PDF, a Word file or a clear photo of one all work, and if you do not have a file to hand, send the form without it and say what you have done in the last box. Every application is read by a person, and if it fits something we are recruiting for, someone from the office calls the number you give.

You can also apply over the phone on (833) 991-3899, or email info@doctorzgaragedoor.com.

PDF, Word, or a photo. Up to 8 MB. Leave it empty if you do not have one to hand.
