Take the floor first, because in a garage everything vertical is referenced to it. The bottom section comes to rest on the slab, so how the concrete runs across the full width of the opening decides whether the door lands flat or sets one corner down first. The lift cables dead-end at brackets on that same bottom edge. It will not say which end of this town is the bigger one, so neither will we.

Which leaves the quote built from the bottom up rather than from the year on the house. Three decades of building here are level with one another, so the street outside narrows nothing down, and no part of a door gets picked off an address. What settles it is a tape and a level at the garage: where the door sits down across the full width, whether the two bottom corners arrive together, what the track is fastened into on each side, and where those two sensors are actually sitting relative to the concrete beneath them. Of all of it, the sensor height is the only figure we can look up before we get there.
