When the door is shut, everything the springs are holding ends up in two brackets at the bottom corners.
A shut garage door that is not sitting square on the floor has three suspects behind it and gives away none of them — the bottom section, the track it runs in, or the slab underneath. Any of the three will hold a corner up, or leave a line of light along the bottom edge while the far end seals tight, and none of it looks any different from outside.
What separates them is a level and a tape. A section that has gone out of line reads against the sections above it. A track pulled out at the foot, or lagged back further on one side than the other, reads against the jamb it is fixed to. A floor that falls away reads against neither — set a level on it and the door is cleared. That third answer changes the job rather than the parts list, because the door does not get made flat. It gets set to the floor it has, and the bottom seal takes up what is left.
